GREETINGS FROM
MAYOR TOM MADDOX

Greetings Visitors, Prospective Residents and Newcomers:

On behalf of our City Council and as Mayor of the City of Elba, it is my pleasure to give you a hearty welcome to our community and thank you for visiting our website.

With a population of around 4,000, we are a

community with a rich tradition, a rising spirit,

and a wonderful place to call home.  We are a

diverse group of citizens working together for

the common good to build a community in

which we can all be proud.

We stand for preserving what we have while

striving for continued growth. We are excited

about ongoing infrastructure improvements

and for new businesses coming to town.

Our citizens appreciate the Pea River and

Whitewater Creek for fishing, canoeing and

kayaking; abundant wildlife; and an active city

recreation program. We are extremely proud

of our school system, our winning athletic

teams, and our award-winning band program.

The City of Elba is committed to working with the community to ensure that we effectively serve our citizens, neighborhoods, and businesses.  We look out for one another and we enjoy small town life.

I warmly welcome you to our beautiful town in the heart of south Alabama. Stop by and stay awhile; I know you’ll be glad you did.

Tom Maddox, Mayor
